Report: Adrian Newey to depart Purple Bull

Purple Bull Racing design chief Adrian Newey, whose automobiles have dominated Components 1 for many years, is ready to depart the group, in line with experiences.

German title Auto Motor und Sport first reported that the 65-year-old has knowledgeable Purple Bull chiefs of his plan to depart Milton Keynes on the finish of the 12 months.

The BBC says it has confirmed these experiences with sources on the group.

The experiences recommend Newey’s determination is linked to the controversial state of affairs surrounding misconduct allegations towards group chief Christian Horner.

Earlier this 12 months, an investigation cleared Horner of any wrongdoing, though the complainant has since appealed that call.

The state of affairs with Horner is alleged to have sparked an influence wrestle inside Purple Bull that has left Newey sad.

Newey joined Purple Bull in 2005 and has since designed a string of title winners for Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen. His 2023 machine was probably the most dominant in F1 historical past.

If his departure is confirmed, Newey can have loads of choices. He has strongly been linked with a transfer to Ferrari – establishing a dream partnership with Lewis Hamilton – and has a job supply from Aston Martin.
