Australia: Rescuers rush to get stranded whales into the ocean

Round 160 long-finned pilot whales have washed up on the coast at Dunsborough, 285 kilometres (177 miles) south of Perth in western Australia. In keeping with Parks and Wildlife Service South West (PWS), 28 whales have died.

Pia Courtis, from PWS stated in a press release that quite a lot of rescue companies have been attempting to assist however “sadly the end result for our pilot whales as soon as they strand on the seaside is usually not good.”
