Huge flooding and landslides triggered by days of heavy rain in Brazil’s southernmost state have killed no less than 85 individuals, based on native authorities.
Over two-thirds of Rio Grande do Sul’s 497 municipalities have been affected, leaving greater than 150,000 individuals displaced, native authorities mentioned.
Greater than 130 persons are nonetheless lacking.
The mayor of Eldorado do Sul, one of many affected cities, informed native media that the town was “100% destroyed”.
