An elephant which strayed from Maharashtra into Telangana has trampled a farmer of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district.

In a primary in Telangana State, an elephant, which strayed from the neighbouring state of Maharashtra, trampled a farmer of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district to demise on Wednesday.
As per the small print shared by the Telangana Forest Division, a male sub-adult elephant entered the Burepally village of Koutala mandal of the district by way of Maharashtra border. The Forest Division’s Karjelly vary employees began patrolling the border space on receipt of the data from Maharashtra.
At round 3 p.m., the pachyderm ventured into the agricultural fields of Burepally village and attacked a farmer named Alluri Shankar leading to his demise.
Following this incident, groups have been constituted with forest, police and income division employees, who cautioned the villagers to not enterprise out. Hearth crackers have been procured to chase the elephant away, and the scenario is being carefully monitored by DFO, Asifabad Niraj Tiberwal and Shanta Ram, Area Director of Kawal Tiger Reserve.
The joint groups are monitoring the motion of the elephant from a secure distance, a notice from the Forest Division stated. It’s learnt that the errant elephant received separated from its herd which had entered the Gadchiroli forests two days in the past. It moved to the southern a part of Maharashtra, and entered Telangana after crossing the Pranahita River.
Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden M.C. Pargaien spoke to the Asifabad District Collector and Superintendent of Police and requested their cooperation in tackling the issue. Compensation to the tune of ₹ 10 lakh is being organized for the household of the deceased individual, the notice stated.
The CWLW of Maharashtra and different officers even have been contacted for higher alternate of knowledge and additional help and coordination if required.
