The NTR Commissionerate Police have stepped up vigil on the Andhra Pradesh-Telangana borders forward of the final elections.

“Now we have seized about ₹5 crore money, 8 kgs of gold and 33 kgs of silver ornaments. In addition to, 75,600 litres of liquor and 175.36 kgs of ganja have been seized through the checking of autos,” Mr. Kanthi Rana stated.

Coordination conferences have been held with the Khammam Commissionerate and Suryapet district police in Telangana. The police of each the States have determined to undertake joint patrolling within the villages and conduct car checking, the Police Commissioner stated.

Preparations have been made for foot patrolling within the villages on the Andhra Pradesh-Telangana border to stop the motion of criminals and smuggling of money and liquor, he stated.
