Mumbai:
A person was thrashed by passengers for allegedly molesting a 15-year-old lady inside a suburban prepare in Mumbai, a police official stated on Monday.
The incident passed off on Saturday night time when the prepare was between Dadar and Andheri on the Western line and the accused has been recognized as Kamathipura resident Noor Ahmed Sagir Ahmed (34), the Bandra railway police station official stated.
“He was held on Monday. The lady, who was along with her father, realised Ahmed was touching her inappropriately. After she raised an alarm, passengers thrashed Ahmed and handed him over to police at Andheri railway station,” he stated.
“Ahmed was admitted in Cooper Hospital after the beating. He was arrested for committing such against the law earlier. He consumes medicine. On the time of the incident, the sufferer, who’s present process therapy in a Parel-based hospital, had taken the Dadar-Borivali prepare after visiting the power,” the official stated.
Ahmed was charged with molestation and different offences beneath Indian Penal Code and Safety of Kids from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act provisions, he stated.
