35-year-old Farmer Trampled To Dying By Wild Elephant In Telangana

A 35-year-old farmer died after being attacked by a wild elephant in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district of Telangana on Wednesday, the forest division stated.

The incident occurred on the outskirts of Burepalli village in Chinthalamanepally mandal of the district when the sufferer was working in an agricultural discipline, they stated.

“For the primary time a wild elephant entered Telangana from Maharashtra… there aren’t any wild elephants in Telangana. It appears a herd of 70-75 elephants is transferring alongside the opposite aspect of Pranahita river in Maharashtra. One of many elephants–a male tusker, strayed into Telangana by crossing Pranahita,” a senior forest division official advised information company PTI.

“Our Maharashtra counterparts had knowledgeable us upfront in regards to the motion (of elephants) and we now have been monitoring. We had requested the villagers to not enterprise that aspect.
