Lady finds ₹10,000 at ATM, informs police

Poomari, spouse of Murugan of Kokkampatti in Tenkasi district, was appreciated for her honesty by the police on Sunday. She discovered ₹10,000 money left within the ATM at Kasidharmam close to Kadayanallur bus cease by somebody and gave it to the police. About a couple of hours later, Mariappan obtained a SMS stating that ₹10,000 was withdrawn from his checking account. His sister Latha, who had been to the ATM to withdraw the money, couldn’t full the transacton due to snag. She left the ATM. When Ms. Poomari stepped in, she discovered the money and instantly handed it over to the police. After Mr. Mariappan confirmed the SMS on his cell phone and after due verification, the police gave the cash to him. Poomari was honoured for her act of honesty.
