Welfare help price ₹4.87 crore was distributed by the district administration to 549 beneficiaries within the Nilgiris to mark the 69th loss of life anniversary of B.R.Ambedkar on Friday.
As well as, a complete of 455 sanitation staff in Udhagamandalam, Gudalur, Coonoor and Nelliyalam municipalities in addition to staff on the town and village panchayats had been honoured by the Nilgiris district collector, Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru, and Chief authorities whip, Ok. Ramachandran, who can be the Coonoor MLA.
The Nilgiris district administration said that the occasion, held in Udhagamandalam, concerned numerous authorities departments, together with the Division of Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare, Income, Co-operative society, Division of Horticulture and Plantation Crops, amongst others.
