Union Minister of Planning, Statistics and Programme Implementation Rao Inderjit Singh stated in reply to a query by Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath within the Lok Sabha on Wednesday that Visakhapatnam was chosen as one of many 4 ‘Progress Hub’ pilot websites within the nation initiated by NITI Aayog.
The opposite three progress hubs are Mumbai metropolitan area, Varanasi and Surat.
He said that the town areas recognized as progress hubs can be developed on the idea of three key elements, specifically financial and funding plans, high quality of life and inclusivity and sustainability plans. Particular financial plans have been developed for every of those financial areas.
NITI Aayog implements the initiative with the respective State governments and data companions. The Visakhapatnam Financial Area, which has been chosen for the stated pilot mission, consists of Anakapalle, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Parvathipuram-Manyam, Alluri Sitharama Raju, Kakinada and East Godavari districts.
