Republicans on Wednesday killed a $118 billion immigration and overseas assist package deal that had linked US funding for Ukraine and Israel with stringent home border safety measures.

Chuck Schumer, the chief of the Democratic-led Senate, stated he would rapidly power a second vote to approve the overseas assist with out the immigration curbs.
