Nagapattinam obtained the heaviest rainfall of 16.4 cm until 5.30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Many different locations, together with Karaikal, Cuddalore (9cm every) and Ennore in Chennai (8 cm) recorded heavy rains.
The Regional Meteorological Centre Chennai has forecast reasonable rains to proceed in 15 districts, together with Chennai, Nagapattinam, Cuddalore and Tiruvarur until 10 a.m.
