The Union authorities on Monday (November 18, 2024) mentioned K. Sanjay Murthy would be the subsequent Comptroller and Auditor Basic of India.
Mr. Murthy, a 1989 batch IAS officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre, will succeed Girish Chandra Murmu.
Mr. Murthy is presently Secretary, Division of Increased Schooling, Ministry of Schooling.
“By advantage of the ability vested in her by clause (1) of article 148 of the Structure of India, the President has been happy to nominate K Sanjay Murthy to be the Comptroller and Auditor Basic of India with impact from the date he assumes cost of his workplace,” a notification issued by the Division of Financial Affairs, Ministry of Finance, mentioned.
Girish Chandra Murmu assumed workplace because the Comptroller and Auditor Basic of India on August 8, 2020. He’ll full his time period on November 20.
