Area start-up GalaxEye on Thursday introduced the profitable deployment of its GLX-SQ payload aboard ISRO’s PSLV Orbital Experimental Module (POEM) platform which was launched on December 30, 2024.

Floor-breaking leap

The beginning-up stated that this milestone marks a groundbreaking leap in house know-how, because it options the world’s first-ever fusion of Artificial Aperture Radar (SAR) and optical imagery in orbit— a transformative achievement set to redefine distant sensing capabilities.

This primary-of-its-kind integration of SAR and optical imagery addresses important wants throughout sectors, together with Defence, agriculture, and catastrophe response.

“By fusing these two applied sciences, the payload provides enhanced insights that transcend the capabilities of conventional distant sensing strategies. The flexibility to course of and compress giant volumes of information, changing analog indicators into digital format in underneath 10 minutes, positions GalaxEye as a pacesetter in delivering environment friendly, real-time options for real-world challenges,” it stated.

Earth remark

Suyash Singh, CEO & co-founder of GalaxEye, stated: “By fusing SAR and optical imagery in orbit, we’ve set a brand new benchmark for earth remark. This mission showcases our dedication to innovation and our capacity to ship quick, actionable insights for important sectors like Defence, agriculture, and catastrophe response. It’s not only a technological milestone however the starting of a journey to redefine the probabilities of distant sensing and space-based options.”

It added that GalaxEye is gearing up for Mission Drishti, a flagship multi-sensor satellite tv for pc delivering all-weather, high-resolution imaging, reinforcing its popularity as a pioneer in shaping satellite tv for pc know-how for house exploration and sensible earth purposes.
