The Congress on Sunday (November 10, 2024) filed a criticism with the Election Fee towards an commercial marketing campaign of the BJP in election-bound Jharkhand, through which actors with shut resemblance to high leaders of the JMM, the Congress and the RJD have been used.
Congress normal secretary in-charge of communications Jairam Ramesh, in a petition to the election panel, mentioned that the commercial raised “a number of blatantly false allegations” towards the leaders of the three events. He mentioned it sought to painting them as “anti-tribal”.
“The commercial printed by the BJP is rife with baseless allegations and falsehoods whose sole goal is to unduly affect voters to dissuade them from voting for any opposition social gathering and for the BJP to make unfair electoral features within the state of Jharkhand,” Mr. Ramesh mentioned in his plea.
In an election-bound State, Mr. Ramesh mentioned, all ads should be cleared by the Election Fee. “It’s our submission that there is no such thing as a believable situation through which such a ex facie and whole violation of electoral norms is allowed to be printed by this honourable fee,” Mr. Ramesh mentioned.
