Jaguar releases teaser of upcoming idea – with no rear window

Jaguar has launched a brand new teaser picture of its upcoming Design Imaginative and prescient Idea, offering our greatest look but on the automotive that may set the tone for the model’s new period.

The picture, which seems to be of the automotive’s rear finish, confirms Autocar’s unique report that the model’s upcoming vehicles will omit a standard rear window, in favour of a Polestar 4-style digital mirror.

It additionally showcases the idea automotive’s dramatic proportions, with a remarkably large rear wheel arch and monitor, in addition to a repeated distinction between clean curves and hard-edged straight strains.

Standard back lights can’t be seen: they’re both hidden out of view of the teaser shot, or are hid by the outstanding slats working throughout the automotive’s tail.

These slats mirror these featured within the new ‘leaper’ brand, suggesting the automotive might showcase Jaguar’s new branding in massive scale.

The picture was posted to social media accompanied by the textual content “copy nothing”, reiterating the mantra of JLR inventive chief Gerry McGovern – itself derived from that of Jaguar founder William Lyons.

JLR CEO Adrian Mardell has described Jaguar’s rebirth as “an entire reset”, calling its new effort “one thing spectacular”.

The idea will probably be proven in full on 2 December, at Miami Artwork Week.

It’s set to preview a four-door electrical GT, which is ready to be the primary in a three-car line-up due from 2026.
